How to Play Color Guesser

Each round shows a single color word — Saffron, Slate, Midnight. No swatch, no image, no hint. Just the name. Build the color from memory before you touch the wheel.

Pick Your Hue and Shade

Tap or drag the color wheel to land on the right hue. Then drag the lightness slider to move between dark and pale versions. Both steps count — a wrong lightness costs points even when the hue is perfect.

Score Up to 1,000 Per Round

Points are based on color distance — how different your pick looks from the correct answer. Near-misses still score. Nail all five and you walk away with a perfect 5,000.

Same Puzzle, Every Player

Scoring uses RGB color distance, which reflects how different two colors actually look side by side. A guess that's slightly off across all three channels — but still close overall — can score above 900. You don't need to be exact. You need to be precise.
